ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrive Bagdogra by Flight and Transfer to Bagdogra - Gangtok (Approx. 125 kms/5 hrs.)

Meet and Greet at Bagdogra. Upon Arrival, proceed for Gangtok. Gangtok – The capital of the 22nd State of India, Sikkim is one of the most beautiful hill stations with varied options for tourist – It is known for the monastery, Orchids, High Altitude Lake and butterflies. Upon Arrival, Check-in at Hotel. Evening at Leisure. Overnight in Gangtok.

Day 02: Drive from Gangtok to Lachung (Approx. 118 kms/6 hrs.)

In Morning, Have breakfast at hotel. After Breakfast, Check-out and proceed for Lachung. Lachung, about 118kms from Gangtok in North Sikkim, is situated at an altitude of 8,858 ft. Also known as the 'Small Pass', Lachung is embraced by snowcapped mountain peaks, breathtaking waterfalls, sparkling streams and apple orchards, also peaches and apricots. The market of this city is filled with handicrafts such as exquisitely woven rugs and blankets that make this town ideal for shopping sprees. The residents of Lachung who are mostly Bhutias call themselves Lachungpas. Enroute visit the Villages & Waterfalls. Upon Arrival in Sikkim, Check-in at Hotel. Evening at Leisure. Overnight in Sikkim.

Day 03: Lachun – Yumthang – Lachun (Approx. 24 Kms/1 hrs.) Transfer to Gangtok (Approx. 118 Kms/6 hrs.)

In morning, have breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, proceed for the Yumthang Valley. Located at the height of 11,800 ft. above sea level, this paradise will leave you bewitched because it contains an unexpected variety of flowers giving it its name- ‘The Valley of Flower’. In Afternoon, Return Back to Hotel. Check-out from hotel and proceed for the Gangtok. Upon Arrival, Check-in at Hotel. Overnight In Gangtok.

Day 04: Gangtok Sightseeing - Pelling (Approx. 127 Kms/5 Hrs.)

In Morning, have breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, Check-out and proceed for the sightseeing tour of Gangtok. Here you will visit few of the most famous attractions:

Do Drul Chorten: Do-drul Chorten is a stupa in Gangtok in the Indian state of Sikkim. The stupa was built by Trulshik Rinpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism in 1945. Inside this stupa is a complete set of Dorjee Phurba, Kangyur and other religious objects. Around the stupa are 108 Mani Lhakor or prayer wheels.

Namgyal Institute of Tibetology: Namgyal Institute of Tibetology is a Tibet Museum in Gangtok, Sikkim, India, named after the 11th Chogyal of Sikkim, Sir Tashi Namgyal. (Closed on Sundays)

Cottage Industry: This Institute is established with the aim to produce and promote the state’s traditional authentic arts and crafts and teaches the ancient crafts of Sikkim (like Painting, Mask Making, Weaving and Wood Carving) to keep them alive. (Closed on Sundays)

Enchey Monastery: The Enchey Monastery was established in 1909 above Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim in the Northeastern Indian state. It belongs to the Nyingma order of Vajrayana Buddhism. The monastery built around the then small hamlet of Gangtok became a religious centre.

Later in the Afternoon, proceed for the Pelling. Pelling, a beautiful town in the West district of Sikkim, has become the second biggest tourist destination in Sikkim after Gangtok. Located 10 km from Geyzing and 130 km from Gangtok, the main attraction of the place is the breathtaking sight of the Khangchendzonga and the neighbouring peaks.

Upon Arrival, Check-in at Hotel. Evening At Leisure. Overnight In Pelling.

Day 05: Pelling Sightseeing - Darjeeling (Approx. 70 Kms/3 Hrs.)

In Morning, Have Breakfast at Hotel. After breakfast, Check-out and proceed for the sightseeing tour of Pelling. Here You will visit the popular attractions:

Khecheopalri Lake: Khecheopalri Lake, originally known as Kha-Chot-Palri, is a lake located near Khecheopalri village, 147 kilometers west of Gangtok in the West Sikkim district of the Northeastern Indian state of Sikkim.

Pemayangste Monastery: The Pemayangtse Monastery is a Buddhist monastery in Pemayangtse, near Pelling in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, located 110 km west of Gangtok. Planned, designed and founded by Lama Lhatsun Chempo in 1647, it is one of the oldest and premier monasteries of Sikkim, also the most famous in Sikkim.

Rabtense Ruins: Rabdentse was the second capital of the former Kingdom of Sikkim from 1670 to 1814. The capital city was destroyed by the invading Gurkha army and only the ruins of the palace and the chortens are seen here now. However, the ruins of this city are seen close to Pelling and in West Sikkim district in the Northeastern Indian state of present-day Sikkim.

Later in the Afternoon, proceed for the Darjeeling. Upon Arrival, Check-in At Hotel. Evening at Leisure.

Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 06: Tiger Hill Visit - Joy Ride & Darjeeling Sightseeing

Early Morning, Have a visit To Tiger Hill. Tiger Hill is a mountain located in Darjeeling, in the Indian State of West Bengal. It has a panoramic view of Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga together. Early morning you will go through primitive forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak. After sunrise, return back to hotel. Have Breakfast at Hotel. After breakfast, proceed for the Joy ride in Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, popularly known as “Toy Train”, from Darjeeling to Darjeeling (Via Batasia Loop & Ghoom) And Visit to Ghoom Monastery. It is oldest Buddhist Monastery. Ghoom Monastery which was established by a monk and famous astrologer, Lama SherabGyatso in 1850.

Later in the afternoon, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Darjeeling. Here you will visit the popular attractions:

Himalayan Mountaineering Institute: The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute was established in Darjeeling, India on 4 November 1954 to encourage mountaineering as an organized sport in India.(Closed on Thursday)

Zoological Park: Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is a 67.56-acre zoo in the town of Darjeeling in the Indian state of West Bengal. The zoo was opened in 1958, and an average elevation of 7,000 feet, is the largest high-altitude zoo in India.(Closed on Thursday)

Tibetan Refugee Centre: Situated at Lebong and locally known as Hermitage, the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre (TRSHC) came into existence on 2 October 1959. In 1959, funds raised from local charity led to the starting of this centre by Zhu Dan (wife of Gyalo Thondup).

Later in the evening, return back to hotel. Overnight In Darjeeling.

Day 07: Darjeeling-Bagdogra (Approx. 93 kms/3 Hrs.) & Departure from Bagdogra by Flight

Early Morning, Have Breakfast at Hotel. After breakfast, proceed for Bagdogra. Upon Arrival, you will be dropped at Bagdogra Airport to board flight for onward destination.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Tiger Hill in Darjeeling cannot be guaranteed at the time of sunrise as there is a limitation on the total number of vehicles permitted to visit every day, in case the visit cannot be done early in the morning, the point will be visited anytime during the day.
  • Visit to Ghoom Monastery cannot be done while returning from Tiger Hill due to new traffic regulations, this visit can be done during the day tour.
  • Tibetan Refugee Centre in Darjeeling and Cottage Industry in Gangtok have only opened the emporiums for visitors at the moment and visit to the workshops is restricted.
  • Tickets for Toy Train can be purchased 120 days prior to date of travel as per railway guidelines, we would require full name, age and gender of all pax to procure the same.
  • Sikkim is plastic free as such plastic water bottles are not available/allowed in Sikkim. Guests are advised to carry steel/glass reusable bottles and they can fill RO/filtered water from the hotels.
  • Currently there is no extra certificate/RT PCR required to visit Bengal and Sikkim, however the guests are advised to be fully vaccinated and WHO approved vaccinated certificates.
  • However Please note: Time to time Government may change or modify the regulation & will be apply accordingly. We request you to kindly cross check this at the time of booking/operation also. Also note that due to Covid Pandemic some time authority will change the regulation at the last minute also.
  • Some Monasteries in remote areas are open to visit, but the visit is possible provided the caretaker is available as many times the caretakers move to other monasteries for prayers. Sikkim Inner Line & Restricted Area Permit
REGARDING SIKKIM INNER LINE PERMIT ALSO KNOWN AS RESTRICTED AREA PERMIT

For entering Sikkim, a normal Inner Line permit/Restricted Area Permit is required. This permit can be obtained on any one of the following procedures:

  • At the time of applying for the Indian Visa itself, the clients need to mention that they will visit Sikkim and accordingly a 15 days inner line permit/restricted area permit is stamped on the visa.
  • On arrival in Darjeeling we need to produce the original passport with valid Indian Visa at the District Magistrates office and a 15 days inner line permit/restricted area permit can be granted. It takes half day.
  • While entering Sikkim the permits can be issued on the spot at Rangpoo Check Post (while going to Gangtok) or Melli Check Post (while going to Pelling). It takes 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on groupsize. A serial numbered form at the check post needs to be filled and submitted along with photocopies of passport and Indian visa and 02 passport size snaps. The following can be granted Inner Line permit/Restricted Area Permit to visit Sikkim ONLY by the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi or the Indian High Commissions abroad.
