Tour Programme

Day 01: Monday : Manglore ( By Flight ) - Mangalore – Kasaragod / Bekal ( By Surface, Approx. 65 Kms / 02 Hours )

On Arrival meet and Greet by our company Representative and transfer to Kasaragod/ Bekal hotel.

This enroute you can visit Mahatobhaara Sri Mangaladevi Temple –The Mangaladevi Temple is a Hindu temple at Bolara in the city of Mangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka, situated about three km southwest of the city centre. The temple is dedicated to Hindu god Shakti in the form of Mangaladevi. The city of Mangalore is named after the presiding deity, Mangaladevi. The temple is of significant antiquity and is believed to have been built during the 9th century by Kundavarman, the most famous king of the Alupa dynasty during the 9th century, under the patronage of Matsyendranath. As per another legend, the temple is believed to have been built by Parashurama, one of the ten avatars of Hindu god Vishnu and later expanded by Kundavarman. Later get Check in at hotel. and evening if you wish driver will take you at Kasaragod Beach, where you can spend some time and later back to hotel.

Day 02: Kasaragod / Bekal

Morning after having breakfast starts your tour of Bekal and visit Madhur Sri Madanantheshwara Siddivinayaka Temple Only hindus are allowed in this temple. (The temple opens at 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM and from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM). Maha pooja timings - 8:00 AM, 12:30 PM and 8:00 PM. Temple provides free lunch for devotees in the name of Prasadam.

Later visit Bekal and Kasaragod tour and visit Bekal Fort / Bekal Beach and alfter lunch again you can explore beautifull beaches of Kasaragod. Later driver back to hotel.

and Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Kasaragod / Bekal – Coorg ( By  Surface, Approx.120 Kms / 3.5 Hours  )

Morning after having breakfast and hotel, check out and drive towards Coorg. On the way enjoy senic drive and on arrival transfer to pre-book hotel.

Coorg is a beautiful large hill town situated in Western Ghats. This hill station stands 1452 meters above sea level. The green woody slopes, colourful scenery, misty mountains, cascading falls, dense tropical forest, tea, coffee and spice plantations made this place a paradise of nature lovers.

This enchantingly beautiful place is popularly called as the ‘Scotland of India’ and also ‘Kashmir of South’.

Day 04: Coorg - Morning visit Dubare Elephant camp (Depending on water level & weather)

Today you will proceed for a visit to the Dubare Elephant Camp across the river Cauvery, is a half-day programme. Visitors can participate in bathing and feeding the elephants. A specialist guides visitors in elephant behavior and builds bridges between man and mammal. The visit ends with an elephant ride through the forest to a nearby waterhole.

Later visit Abbi Falls that are a must visit in tours to Coorg. Proceed to the Raj’s Seat from where you can enjoy panoramic views of the misty Coorg valley.

Raja’s Seat - literally meaning Seat of the King, is located at the western end of Madikeri and is a well maintained garden with a great view of the hills and the valley below and having a small pavilion inside.

Coffee Plantation Tour in Coorg provides an opportunity to witness the complete journey of coffee, right from the seed to the packed powder.

Lush-green Coffee Estate gives a great and amazing experience of gaining an in-depth knowledge of coffee cultivation in this region including pruning techniques, picking, drying and other important information.

Tour consists of a casual walk of 1 km through these sprawling coffee estates, explaining about other popular plantations of these regions, such as Black Pepper, Cardamom, fruits by a Plantation Expert. The tour will end by offering you a cup of Coorg's coffee in a traditional way.

Day 05: Coorg - Talakaveri – Coorg

After breakfast please proceed to visit Talakaveri

Talakaveri is the place that is generally considered to be the source of the river Kaveri. It is located by Brahmagiri hill (not to be confused with the Brahmagiri range further south) near Bhagamandala in Kodagu district, Karnataka, 1,276 m. above sea level. However, there is not a permanent visible flow from this place to the main river course except during the rainy season.

A tank or kundike has been erected on a hillside, at the place that is said to be the origin. It is also marked by a small temple, and the area is frequented by pilgrims. The river originates as a spring feeding this tank, which is considered to be a holy place to bathe on special days. The waters are then said to flow underground to emerge as the Kaveri River some distance away. The temple has been renovated extensively by the state government recently [2007].

On Tulasankramana day (the first day of Tula Masa month, according to the Hindu calendar, which normally falls in mid-October) thousands of pilgrims flock to the river's birthplace to witness the rise of the fountainhead, when water gushes up from the spring at a predetermined moment. The tula snanam (Sacred bath in the Tula month) is observed across pilgrim towns in Kaveri’s banks

Talakaveri is about 8 km away from Bhagamandala and 48 km from Madikeri

Pm after lunch proceed to visit The Irupu Falls (also Irupu Falls) are located in the Brahmagiri

Range in the Kodagu district of Karnataka, India, bordering the Wayanad district of Kerala. It is a fresh water cascade and is situated at a distance of 48 km from Virajpet on the highway to Nagarhole. The Falls are also known as the Lakshmana Tirtha Falls, derived from the name of the tributary of Cauvery which starts from these falls, the Lakshmana Tirtha River.

A forest trail leads from these falls to the Brahmagiri Peak in Southern Kodagu. Irupu falls is a major tourist attraction as well as a pilgrimage spot. A famous Shiva temple, the Rameshwara Temple is situated on the banks of the Lakshmana, en route to the fall. This temple attracts a large number of pilgrims during the festival of Shivaratri. Overnight at Coorg.

Day 06: Coorg- Wayanad ( By Surface, approx. 132 Kms / 04 Hours )

We will then proceed to Wayanad by car. Enroute you will visit Kuruva - Kuruva Dweep or Kuruva Island is a protected river delta, comprising a cluster of islands over the middle of Kabini River in Wayanad. Spread over 950 acres of land, Kuruva Island is densely populated with rich flora and fauna. The geographical peculiarity of this island makes this place evergreen with a serene ambience.

Also Visit The Banasura Dam is known for being India’s largest earthen dam in India. Built at the lap of Banasura Hills, the dam is the key water provider for irrigation, drinking and electricity for the nearby areas. The name Banasura is derived from the name of the son of the famous ruler – Mahabali.

On arrival at Wayanad check in at hotel. Rest of day at Leisure and relax at hotel.

Day 07 : Wayanad – Kozikode ( By Surface, approx. 90 Kms / 03-04 Hours)

Morning after breakfast you can go to see the and Edakkal Caves -  These caves are located 1,200 m above the sea level on Ambukutty Mala. The name ‘Edakkal’ literally means ‘a stone in between’. Here you can see a cave formed by a heavy boulder straddling a fissure in the rock.

Many legends are there behind the formation of Edakkal caves. One of the stories is that, these caves are said to be formed with the arrows fired by Lava and Kusha, the sons of Lord Sri Rama. Another one is associated with Kutti Chathan and the Goddess Mudiampilly. The local people used to have a pilgrimage trip to this place to honour the Goddess.

Day 08: Depart Kozikode ( By Flight )

This day In time transfer to Kokzikode airport to board a flight for onward Destination.
